Driller (Palmetto Rock) Job at Morgan Corp.
Palmetto Rock Services, Inc. was formed in 1992 as a specialty subcontractor based in Spartanburg, South Carolina to provide full service rock drilling and blasting services to the construction and mining industries in the Carolinas and Georgia.
Palmetto Rock is currently searching for Driller Operators
Responsibilities:
- Construction and Quarry Drillers - drill blast holes to correct depth and maintain drill logs for Blaster
- Perform pre/post inspection of equipment
- Able to understand drill pattern laid out by Blaster and drill holes to correct depths
- Ability to fill out drill logs correctly and communicate any problems/issues encountered while drilling
- Willingness to learn how to run multiple drills
Qualifications:
- Prior experience running heavy equipment preferred - willing to train
- OSHA & MSHA training preferred
Work Environment:
Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activity, for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
