- Maintains vehicle and operates vehicle in a safe manner
- Coordinates schedule to ensure timely deliveries of commodities
- May travel long distances and be exposed to all kinds of weather
- Assists with inventory before and/or after deliveries
- Serves participants, as needed, in a caring and respectful manner
- Leaves food sites clean; ensures site/building is secure, if last to leave
- Checks delivery tickets
- Completes incident reports as needed
- Helps with loading and unloading trucks, pull-offs and pre-packing as needed
- At mobile sites, takes inventory count before and after serving participants
- Packs food boxes as needed
- Frequently lifts and moves heavy objects
- Works with diverse groups of people
Minimum qualifications
Valid Louisiana Drivers License
High school diploma or equivalent
Must read and write legibly and use math skills
One year driving experience preferred
Must be able to drive 24' 26' bobtail truck
Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
Must be able to lift 50#
