Request A Driver manages a "network" of "Independent Contractor/Gig drivers" to drive for Orlando area auto dealerships. We provide drivers to Auto dealerships to do newly purchased commercial and residential auto deliveries, dealer trading, document signing, and more.

PERFECT for RETIREES and FULL TIME GIG WORKERS and FULL TIME RIDESHARE DRIVERS.

Drive their vehicles... not yours!

We DO NOT transport people. We only drive vehicles from point A to point B. No passengers involved. You will be interacting with customers at their homes and businesses. You will also be interacting with managers at Auto dealerships as well. You will also be working with other drivers. Requires that you are ok being in a vehicle with another driver for up to 6 hours sometime.

This is a Unique position... please read carefully.

This is an Independent Contractor - 1099 - Gig worker job. As such, the earning potential is inconsistent. This Gig is not a good fit for everyone. Must be extremely flexible, patient, and have good communication skills.

If you’re RETIRED and bored and want to make some extra $$$ or just get out of the house ... or drive Rideshare this job is definitely for you... or only work gig jobs and don't want a schedule.

Bi-Lingual is a Plus. (English-Spanish) Must speak fluent English.
We will train you and put you on our list of drivers to call to render driving services needed by auto dealers. *Conditions apply.

This is an “On Call” independent contractor position.

Clean Background and Drivers license required. There will be a check that takes 3-5 days. No tickets or suspensions in the last 3 years.

*Paid by the run/trip. *Not paid Hourly.
Usually works out to about $14.25 per hour on average to start (First 25 trips/runs - Probation period). Drivers that have completed over 25 trips/runs average approximately around $17.25 per hour. These are estimated hourly numbers. Typically averages approx. $16 - $18.50 per hour after probationary period.

This "Gig" is not for most people... flexibility and communication are essential.

You will be responsible for:

-Auto dealers usually want drivers ASAP (85% of the time they will require us to send a driver to them immediately). Therefore - You Must be able to show up to an auto dealership in Orlando within 1hr or so of being notified of the available run/trip when you have posted as “available to drive”. Orlando area. Some applicants may be located too far away to be considered.

-Driving new vehicles from one auto dealership to another.
-Delivering vehicles to customers and getting paperwork signed.
-Retrieving vehicles from auction.
-Taking vehicles to accessory shops.
-Having customers sign required paperwork and more.

-This is a detail oriented independant contractor position. It's not just driving... There's documentation, inspections, verification of vehicles, making sure that specific items are with the vehicles, and more. Attention to detail, communication, and patience is a requirement.

What to know:

-Must be able to handle being stuck in traffic. You will be Stuck in traffic a lot!
-We drive mostly within Florida. However, there is some intrastate driving as well with possible overnight stays (airfare and lodging provided by RAD)
-Having a Rideshare account is required. (Both Uber and Lyft).
-Must be available for a full day after 10am. Some trips require driving into the late evening.

-This is an On Call position (similar to but not exactly like driving for rideshare) based on your availability. The more available you are... the more $$$ you will make.

-Some runs only take an hour or 2 round trip. The average trip/run is 3-7 hrs round trip. Some are as long as 12 hrs round trip. Some are multi day trips. Runs can start as late as 5:30pm.

You must be available for the full day (10am- sometimes past midnight) on days that you are available to drive. We can work with some flexibility but not much.

Must be available at least 6 days per month. Applicants with the most availability will be preferred.

***Important***
**This Gig is Not a consistent source of income. Yes, you will earn pretty decent compensation - but you won't make a fortune! However, it’s unpredictable and inconsistent as far as the amount of driving that is available. It’s highly dependent on Auto Sales. You could get 25 runs per month or you could get 3 runs per month. It depends on how busy the auto dealerships are.

**It’s best if you have another source of income and use this to supplement that income.

Being available every day of the week will allow you to make more $$$.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must...

-Have a computer (Smartphones do not count)
-Have a smartphone
-Understand how to scan and save documents (PDF) to files on your smartphone.
-Have a clean Florida DL
-23 years of age or older
-Be able to walk 200-300 yards easily in hot weather
-Be able to climb into a large pick up truck
-Lyft and Uber app and accounts are required.
-Have a bank account
-Understand that you will be responsible for taxes. No taxes will be deducted from your earnings.

CDL not required.

Customer service experience preferred but not required.

**This is not the type of job that you can depend on for paying all of your bills.

We will do a phone interview/screening with select applicants that fit all of the above criteria.
