The Driver position is for a cannabis company and is responsible for performing remote delivery of retail cannabis goods and merchandise in a safe and timely manner. This position ensures that goods are correctly loaded, transported, and delivered to licensed businesses accurately, safely, and timely. The Driver must be able to manage and adjust the route intelligently. Additionally, the Driver must have basic knowledge when operating varied commercial vehicles.
What You’ll Do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operating commercial cargo vans to assigned routes for extended periods of time across the state of Arizona in a safe and timely manner
- Exercise the utmost safety protocol and precautions while operating a delivery vehicle
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to stores and distribution centers in a safe and timely manner
- Reviewing and completing transport manifests before and after distributing items to delivery locations
- Track, account for, and maintain reporting on all items or cargo being transported
- Adhering to assigned routes, following schedules, and abiding by all transportation laws while maintaining a safe driving record
- Provide individual delivery services to internal and external customers
- Maintaining positive professional relationships with dispensary staff
- Maintain, clean, and report any safety or maintenance issues for assigned vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
- Safely and accurately receive deliveries
- Label products for delivery
- Pick, pull, and stage orders
- Consistently follow First in First Out (FIFO) practices
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Notify supervisor of any defective product or packaging components
What You Bring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Ability to acquire an Agent Card through the Arizona Department of Health Services.
- Strong computer skills, ideally with experience using Windows-based PC programs.
- Experience delivering cannabis inventory preferred.
- Ability to drive for long periods of time and in heavy traffic.
- Must have a flexible schedule in order to accommodate delivery routes.
- Operate varied small commercial vehicles.
- Minimum of High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Required to have and maintain a valid Arizona State driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to provide a minimum five-year driving record.
