Qualifications:
· Ability to multitask while still maintaining high priority commitments

Experience and Education:
· BA of equivalent additional work experience preferred
· Two years of work experience in Operations or Transportation with progressive responsibility
· HR/Payroll System experience a plus
Communication Skills:
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and produce
manuals
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
· Must be able to communicate effectively and concisely with all levels of employees and build and maintain successful
relationships
Computer Skills:
· Must be fluent with Microsoft Office Suite skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint)
· Proficiency in applicable programs
· Experience with HR or Payroll systems a plus
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
· Ability to obtain Rinchem/CGLT Supervisor Certification
· Ability to obtain other certifications as required for position
· Ability to learn and maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory subject matter needed to maintain compliance in
warehouse and transportation activities
Other Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to perform administrative duties, talk on the phone, use of computer, standing, adequate vision capabilities.
Responsibilities:
This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities; other assignments will be made as needed.
- Serves as the work team leader Responsible for the performance of the team they supervise and that all tasks are performed safely, accurately and on time
- Understands every job they oversee and will ensure Team Members are current on all regulatory and safety training
- Serves as the Regulatory SME for their team. Including, but not limited to, the areas of DOT, and PHMSA. Specializing in Drivers Records of Duty Status and Placarding.
- Owns the processes that they supervise and ensure that they are properly documented, followed and continually improved
- Balances daily work load and makes necessary adjustments to employee schedules to minimize overtime and total labor costs; approves vacation requests, etc.; accomplishes daily completion targets
- Responsible for entering NCRs as appropriate and often serves as primary investigator; collaborates with workers and managers to identify and solve work-related problems , participates in Kaizen and/ or rapid improvement teams
- Addresses and/or escalates any potential safety, quality and employee concerns, including injury and accident reporting
- Resolves personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or escalates them to the Manager for resolution
- Coaches and counsels employees regularly in work-related activities, personal growth, and job enrichment, includes performing and presenting MMFs and annual appraisals, recommends disciplinary action when appropriate
- Conducts safety, quality or other team meetings, and serves in committee memberships as needed
- Records defects through POI, cycle times, double check, Paretos and leads efforts to eliminate defects.
