DSP- Day Support-Full Time -Ingleside Road-Norfolk - 8:00 AM-4:00 PM- Monday through Friday. Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. Eggleston is currently seeking applicants for full time direct support professionals for our Ingleside Day Support Service program.
Essential duties include; responsible for daily transportation services; providing assistance with personal care and training; work with individuals as part of a team, 1 to 1, and in groups; develop and implement individualized service plans; enhance community integration by facilitating community outings and activities; completing required documentation; conduct assessments; and attending required staff training.
A Bachelor degree in Human Services is preferred but not required. Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in human services. Must be available to work 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Mon. through Fri. Must have the physical stamina to provide assistance to participants and communicate orally and in writing. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., push, pull, and bend and be able to stand for two or more hours. Experience using Microsoft Office. Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Must be able to drive a multi-passenger vehicle. Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form. Pre-employment drug testing, clearance through criminal background investigation, and acceptable driving record required.
