The Learning Grove- Avon is a licensed childcare center seeking an
Assistant
Teacher in our Toddler Classroom! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. Our mission is to be a nurturing environment for young children trusted by parents. We accomplish this by focusing on the needs of our students through age-appropriate educational activities in a fun, loving, and safe setting.
Compensation: $12-$15 per hour, based on experience or education $1,000 sign on bonus
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am-6pm

Some of the
duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
- Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
- Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development
- Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Passion for early childhood and/or elementary education
- A warm and bubbly personality :)
Preferred Qualifications:
- CDA or some college coursework relating to early childhood education
- Previous experience within a licensed childcare facility
Please note that the pay scale is based on experience and education.
