eCommerce Analytics & Insights Manager


Position Overview – Seattle, WA

Evolve and build a toolkit for problem framing, data-driven business recommendations for DTC eCommerce teams, analytics, digital/eCommerce consumer behavior evaluation & strategy generation/optimization, and thoughtful presentations of recommendations built on opportunities and challenges to drive clarity of action for senior eCommerce business leaders and DTC business managers. Drive business results for the fastest-growing segment of Stanley’s global business, building, adapting, and optimizing strategies to impact our Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce touchpoints, including our websites, marketplaces, and traffic-driving channels.


Responsibilities:

  • Bring relentless curiosity, systems thinking, obsession with business value creation, and a level-of-comfort with ambiguity to build and optimize our DTC business model and the channels and efforts driving it.
  • Partner with eCommerce and cross-functional teams to create strategic options and business optimizations to drive value for Stanley DTC eCommerce and its customers.
  • Build relationships and work closely with key business leaders and eCommerce channel managers to understand current-state efforts the challenges they face providing analytical support, insight, recommendations, and strategies to grow our business.
  • Provide decision analysis, tackle ambiguous and complex analytical problems related to our digital businesses and translate research into meaningful business/consumer insights resulting in actionable tactics to deliver eCommerce business results and optimize our channel-level strategies.
  • Work with DTC teams to identify, prioritize and apply solutions around customer engagement, acquisition, conversion, optimization, and impact key metrics like LTV, CAC, etc.
  • Understand historicity of business, relate to trends and industry insights, to meaningfully inform business optimizations and opportunities rooted in narrow and broad data sources. Develop strategies to ultimately meet or exceed financial plans (sales, margin, inventory turns, et al.).
  • Craft a strategic story out of the numbers. Present complex analytical findings in a clear, concise, and decision-impacting manner. Influence leadership.

  • eCommerce, Business Intelligence, Finance, IT, Marketing, Sales

Proficiencies:

  • Digital/eCommerce expert. You get data and how to use it to drive eCommerce, from acquisition conversion to retention efforts. And the back-end aspects of building and scaling a successful eCommerce business: business analysis, fulfillment/logistics, CS, et al.
  • Structured thinker. You can frame and bring structure insights to large, complex, and ambiguous problems.
  • Problem solver. You can identify the key issues that impact business decisions and have excellent analytical skills to drive insights. Familiar with split/multivariate testing and a test-and-scale approach to growth. Scrappy results-driven working in partnership with key business/channel owners.
  • You have a knack for influencing others and a track record of distilling complex information into compelling stories.
  • Disciplined project manager. You understand how to engage others and what information and data you need to achieve your goals. You always think a few steps ahead, laying out thoughtful and achievable project plans.
  • Independent doer. You desire a high level of responsibility and can work with minimal supervision. You are comfortable working in a high-intensity environment.
  • Data virtuoso. Analytical mindset, problem-solving leveraging incisive data inquiry, intellectually curious. Deep experience with GA, Data Warehousing, Shopify+, analytics/BI platforms.

Education and Experience:

  • 5-10 years ecommerce experience and analytical support, or related/applicable experience desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent work experience required, Master’s preferred

Interaction and Environment:

  • Reports To: Director of Global Ecommerce, DTC
  • Work areas are inside in a climate-controlled environment with moderate background noise.
