SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a temporary part-time Educational Aide to work in the School of Hotel, Culinary Arts and Tourism. This position reports to the Dean and is responsible for overseeing work study students, interns and is responsible for classroom set up/food cart set up and receiving store deliveries.
Responsibilities:
Supervise student-workers, work-study students, and volunteers
Supervise workers in the filling of lab requisitions
Supervise, receive and store deliveries
Supervise, clean, and maintain the sanitation in food labs/related areas
Prepare food labs prior to class
Check and initial student-worker and work-study time sheets
Act as liaison between instructors and technical staff
Check cooler/freezer temperatures in the morning, at noon, and end of the workday
Job duties as assigned
Dress Code:
Pants: dark, clean, and comfortable
Coats: Lab coats are provided. White undershirts/t-shirts are required for under lab coats- colors and logos are not permitted
Hair: should be neat, clean, and tied back if necessary
Shoes: plain, black and fully enclosed and non-slip shoes are required
Name tags are required
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree, preferably in hospitality
One year experience in hospitality
