We deliver streaming and interactive learning content that helps young kids develop skills, knowledge and passions through play with the characters they love. We also help parents help their kids thrive. A direct-to-consumer offering available on 10+ platforms, Noggin reaches families in the domestic market through standalone mobile apps, connected TV apps, and add-on channels. Position Description
Noggin is looking to hire an Educational Researcher to lead the implementation of our impact and efficacy studies. The Educational Researcher will be intricately involved with the design, execution, analysis and publication of research done on the Noggin product. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both educational research and in working with preschoolers, ideally in a research setting. This candidate is also ideally looking to apply their background in academic research to the educational media/technology sector.
Responsibilities:
● Participate in the design of research studies related to learning impact and efficacy
● Work with vendors or schools/community organizations to ensure study recruitment
● Lead research sessions with 3-5 year olds
● Collect and analyze data, applying appropriate statistical techniques
● Participate in the write up of results as needed
Qualifications:
● Strong background in educational research- either a Masters, PhD or equivalent years of experience in child development research, social sciences research and/or education research.
● Proven ability to lead research sessions with 3-5 year-olds.
● A track record of publications in the fields of education and/or child development.
● Strong communication, team building and project management/organization skills.
This is a non-staff position for a 1-year work assignment. This is a remote position, with a preference for a candidate in the NYC area. The yearly salary range for this role is between
$85,000-$95,000 based on location and experience.
