About this opportunity


The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager for Ericsson North America will be responsible for proactively driving growth and improving on results across multiple facilities within North America. The EHS Manager works with minimal oversight and contributes to EHS tasks specifically within their span of control. This role will report to the Director of EHS and assist with implementing critical initiatives that support the Company's overall business strategies and activities. All related activities will be to help build on the company’s safety culture and help drive continuous improvement and increased employee involvement with balanced results.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with all levels of leadership within North America to proactively understand the EHS risks related to their functions and recommend corrective measure to mitigate such risks.
  • Lead, engage, and influence line managers and employees to continuously improve the EHS leadership committees
  • Coordinate contractor orientations and prequalification process.
  • Develop, deliver, and supervise completion of multiple EHS related training programs.
  • Execute routine EHS tasks defined on the site’s compliance calendar.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and govern corrective action plans and providing mentorship and guidance for continual improvement to team members and customers.
  • Form strategic alliances and partnerships with key operations leaders within the business
  • Be SME of work-related history of ISO 45001/14001 program implementations.
  • Provide guidance on using leading and lagging indicators by applying related data analytics to drive proactive change and influence internal / external customers' ability to use this data to strengthen the EHS Management System and overall EHS culture.
  • Manage incident investigation and RCCA program and have the ability to create and update Risk and Opportunity Assessments within area of responsibility.
  • Working history and knowledge of environmental aspects. impacts, hazardous waste management, etc.

You will bring

  • Recognized Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent certifications and work experience.
  • CSP or CHMM - preferred
  • 4-7 years’ EHS related experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • ISO 14001 / 45001 internal auditor certification – preferred
  • OSHA VPP Experience is a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal management oversight and execute tasks defined by manager
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office programs including professional writing.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
