Role Description Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all team members across the businesses. Adhering to the safety standards and regulations and improve policies that prioritize the physical and mental health of workers. Implementing safety programs by educating workers on various precautionary measures, performing regular inspections and audits to ensure the company follows all Federal and State laws surrounding EHS Specialist.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain systems of reporting incidents to highlight potential problems and effective monitoring systems

• Leads the investigation, analysis and corrective actions of incidents and injuries

• Responsible for all regulatory compliance and reporting to agencies and acts as site contact for regulatory agencies

• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to improve overall Health and Safety performance across all locations

• Prepares, shares and submits safety reports as required by law

• Assess and address potential ergonomic issues

• Ensure FSMA regulations are adhered to by all restaurants and conduct audits and inspects of F&B locations

• Ensuring an effective EHS auditing and inspection process (Hazardous Waste, Food Safety, OSHA, FSMA)

• Generate drafts of monthly EHS statistics reports for management review

• Coordinate annual updates of the Business Continuity Plans

• Facilitates Safety Committee

• Responsible for assisting in the identification of possible losses, evaluating the risk in such loss exposure, developing, and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to assure effectiveness.

• Responsible for preparing the annual audit schedule and budget

• Ensure the internal EHS audit program procedures meet or exceed the generally accepted practices among multi-national corporations

• Develops and implements training programs on EH&S issues in accordance with the EHS management plan to include program specific training in support of the workforce and work conducted

• Conducts on-site reviews and audits of all programs in all locations

• Advises management on noncompliance issues and provides recommendations for corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of EH&S experience with Food Safety

• Able to perform a variety of complex tasks under minimal supervision

• Certifications in OSHA, FSMA, EHS,

• First Aid Responder preferred

• Knowledge of all EH&S Laws

• Knowledge of internal / external auditing process

• EHS program management (spray operations, respiratory, ventilation, flammable liquids)

• Extensive understanding of all regulatory guidelines as they pertain to environmental, health and safety with proven experience leading an organization in adherence to the regulations

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with HRIS system and safety systems

• Demonstrated analytical skills that incorporate root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques

• Must possess a business orientation and interactive skills to support the management team and function as a business partner

• Must be able to travel 75% to locations for audits and training

• Must be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business objectives
