The Business Unit Automotive (AM) develops, produces and sells lamps, light modules and sensor components for automotive applications in both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket segments. This includes conventional and LED-based solutions.
Responsibilities:
PCB Design and Layout
- Utilization of PCB Design Tools (Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or comparable) software to design and optimize layouts for quality, performance, thermal efficiency and Design for Manufacture.
- Prototyping and testing of A, B, and C sample PCB design to industry standards
Power Electronics Circuit Design
- Design of low power (10W-25W) circuits for LED lighting systems based of existing concepts / benchmarking and developing innovative solutions
- Understanding and knowledge of Automotive electronics a plus
Project Management
- Provide Electrical lead for design reviews with production and other support teams for new product design realization through gate process
- Maintain electrical design documentation and updates
Other
- Component material substitutions and obsolete material redesign support
- Support existing medical lighting build to print and new market growth opportunities
- Automotive Flasher electronics design support
- Electronic Lab Equipment responsibilities
- Root Cause analysis and support of quality assurance of electronic designs
What we look for:
* BS plus minimum 1-2 years related work or internship experience Electrical Engineering
* A resourceful and detail-oriented team player with proven success on cross functional teams/projects, managing projects, and establishing and implementing department processes
* Able to multitask, prioritize, and effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
* Self-motivated, excellent communication and leadership skills, strong decision-making skills, collaborative, dependable with strong integrity
* Technically savvy with ability to quickly in Engineering and Production environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
