Come work at Mount Horeb Area School District! We are currently seeking to hire a reliable Paraprofessional to cover recess and lunch duties with our youngest learners in K-2. The position will remain open until filled.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

Your day will include supervision of the students in the lunchroom as they eat and in the parking lot/playground areas as they play at recess. Additionally, you may assist with overall school operations at times including, but not limited to data entry, filing, copying, laminating, and projects. You will collaborate with the paraprofessional and teacher teams as well as implement positive behavioral strategies when working with students.

This position requires reliable workers who are able to provide support consistently during the scheduled time between 3-5 days per week.

Schedule:

• 4 hrs/day: 10:30 am-2:30 pm
• 3-5 days per week

• High school graduate or equivalent education.
• Experience working in education or similar fields.

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
• Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.
• Able to interact with others effectively, follow directions and initiate activities independently.
• Enjoy working with students and other staff members.
• Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities are a plus.

What We Offer:

It is important that we set you up for success. You will receive training on our instructional platforms, and have the ability to shadow our amazing education paraprofessionals so that you have the confidence you need to be your best self, empowering you to focus on student learning.

To compensate you for the wonderful work you will be performing and support you will be providing, you will receive $14.60 per hour beginning on your first day. Additionally, you are eligible to receive benefits including an annual stipend, paid time off, paid holidays.
