Position Title: Embedded Security Technician

Orion Security Solutions (OSS) is seeking a qualified technical security technician for a full-time Embedded Security Technician position based in Las Vegas, NV OSS is an elite integration firm with expertise in advanced technical, physical, and information technology (IT) security solutions. The purpose of an Embedded Security Technician is to serve as an on-site lead, for programming and troubleshooting on the customer job site while effectively and efficiently monitoring the daily operations and service of security solutions for our customers. This role will also be responsible for being a part of on-call rotation activities with the customer both after hours and on weekends. This position requires effective communication and time management skills to operate as the main point of contact between the customer and OSS.

Areas of Responsibility

• Provide day-to-day service and management of on-site customer needs.
• Maintain transparency with respect to customer status, needs, expectations, and details.
• Provide on-call system service and maintenance as needed.
• Coordinate with the customer to ensure the relationship stays strong and the scope of work is appropriately managed.
• Ensure safety requirements are followed and any incidents are reported.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned or required based on the needs of OSS.

Desired Skill Set

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and plans
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with G Suite applications and Microsoft Office programs (primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Programming and operational proficiency with Lenel OnGuard, Genetec Security Center Omnicast
• Profienceny with access control power supplies, electrified door hardware, Hanwha cameras
• Effective organizational skills
• Professional conflict resolution skills
• Working knowledge of cable infrastructure
• Any other skills that would assist in effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of this position

Minimum Experience:

Requires 5+ years of:

• Relevant low voltage and/or security field experience (relevant experience can include supervisory roles)
• Access Control, Video, and Intrusion Detection System Installation
• System design, and/or other low voltage system and component installation)
• Advanced programming skills primarily in Genetec preferred
• Must have experience and level 2 certification in Genetec Security Center Omnicast.
• Must have experience and certification in Lenel OnGuard.

Travel Requirements

• Customer Headquarters in Las Vegas -100% local.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to run; stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; climb ladders, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear
• Standing 95% of each scheduled shift.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Must be able to push and pull 75 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.

Minimum Education

• High school or GED

Must be willing to take and pass a criminal background check as well as a drug test.
