Scope
As the Employee Experience & Inclusion Manager, you will partner with the firm’s leadership and DE&I Council to support the furtherance of the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, as well as play a key role in improving all aspects of the employee experience. You will drive critical firmwide initiatives by providing direction, support and thought leadership in the design and delivery of such programs. You will be a consultant and advisor to the leadership teams of the three DE&I sub-committees focusing on recruiting, program and policy development and culture and community building, as well as coordinate with the five employee community groups and mentorship program. With respect to employee engagement, you will be responsible for developing and/or enhancing employee engagement initiatives and programs, including, but not limited to, unconscious bias training, onboarding and exit surveys, annual employee engagement surveys, charitable giving programs, alumni network programing, annual ESG reporting and Intranet buildout. You will also assist with Company branding for items distributed to new employee hires, employee anniversary awards, and integration efforts with Company acquisitions.
Responsibilities
  • Build a strategic road-map that addresses diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and priorities, and overall employee engagement.
  • Partner with the Recruiting and Learning & Development teams to promote continued commitment to building talent pipelines for underrepresented groups.
  • Develop and manage DE&I and engagement metrics by measuring the impact of new initiatives and programs against key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Develop and implement programs designed to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent, eliminate hidden barriers to success, address systemic inequities, and foster inclusive leadership.
  • Collaborate with business unit and department leaders to design and execute business unit / department strategies that are aligned with firmwide DE&I goals.
  • Collaborate with employee community leaders from Women@HL, Houlihan Black Alliance, Asian and Pacific Islander Community, HL Pride and Houlihan Parents and Caregivers Circle to develop and implement annual strategic plans, run programming and manage annual budgets.
  • Manage and align employee community strategy and programming to broader DE&I strategy.
  • Operate as a skilled facilitator who is capable of creating content for DE&I training and awareness programs.
  • Manage and monitor the implementation of DE&I and employee engagement programming, such as unconscious bias training, employee engagement surveys, charitable giving programs, and alumni network, and drive accountability to project timelines, deliverables and outcomes.
  • Oversee entirety of Glint employee survey program, monitoring exit survey feedback, coordinating annual engagement survey, and preparing reports to leadership regarding same
  • Build out usability of Glint employee survey program to consider other uses, such as onboarding and other uses for the lines of business
  • Analyze survey data trends to measure progress and program effectiveness, and to inform the firm’s DE&I and employee experience strategy.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and the firm’s external consultant in preparing the annual ESG report and ensuring the firm stays on track towards ESG goals.
  • Partner with the IT team to develop a new Company Intranet for employee engagement and connectivity.
  • Participate in external councils, conferences, and forums to stay abreast of issues and trends, benchmark leading organizations, enhance marketplace presence, and strengthen brand recognition.
  • Monitor external DE&I best practices and make recommendations for new initiatives to ensure that HL remains active in the DE&I space.
  • Support effective management of the overall DE&I calendar and budget.
  • Oversee efforts to improve the employee experience for new hires, current employees, and employees acquired through acquisitions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, with 3-5 years of experience in DE&I
  • Ability to consult effectively with managers and employees at various levels
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, and the ability to execute programs and ideas with speed, accuracy and efficiency
  • Effective critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, resilience and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including collaborative skills, inclusive leadership style, innovative thinking, executive presence and ability to build enthusiasm and commitment
  • Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and ability to make effective, timely decisions
  • Display a level of professionalism in accordance with the Company’s values
  • Desire to help define role and develop new skills, as specific responsibilities may change over time
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with corporate entities, and preferably with professional services firms, such as investment banking, law, management consulting, or accounting
Salary Range
Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$100,000.00-$150,000.00
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
