The Job

To coordinate and maintain an excellent and seamless experience for newly hired SCAN employees.


You Will

  • Serve as the liaison between the Human Resource Systems team, Information Technology and Talent Acquisition team to ensure all systems, new hire information and equipment are coordinated seamlessly and executed according to SLAs.
  • Coordinate all new hire and onboarding operations and processes to include background checks, I-9s, required licensing, managing new hire documents, and entering new hire information into the HR system.
  • Ensure new hires have all necessary equipment and information for a successful first day including appropriate meeting invites, office equipment, day 1 plan from hiring managers and log in credentials.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork, including offer letter and background check, are filed or saved appropriately.
  • Assist newly hired employees in obtaining the necessary government documents, permits or visas.
  • Identify new hire needs, respond to questions, HR inquiries and collaborate with appropriate departments / SMEs to optimize new hire experience
  • Maintain and send out appropriate checklist or relevant information to hiring managers for new hire.
  • Coordinate regular check-ins with the first 60 days with new hires to ensure smooth experience.
  • Identify areas for improvement, solicit feedback from new hires and recommend enhancements to the experience.
  • Create and maintain job aid documentation for all onboarding processes.
  • Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional work experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in Health Care or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
  • Excellent customer/employee service skills.
  • Highly developed oral and written communications skills with the ability to effectively convey information in a clear and concise manner.
  • General knowledge of HR policies and practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and effectively execute tasks within a given deadline.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root cause of an issue.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and to appropriately maintain confidentiality.
