DESCRIPTION:
The Employee Wellness Coordinator will work closely with the Organization to create a culture of health and wellness for all staff. This position will execute the Organization’s health management goals and will guide those efforts. A primary focus of the Wellness Coordinator is health promotion throughout the entire Organization. The Wellness Coordinator will execute the appropriate delivery and coordination of wellness programs including event scheduling, appointment coordination, teaching/leading class sessions, community and vendor programs and monitor effectiveness of all wellness programs producing outcomes for the President/CEO and Board of Directors. This position will track all employee vaccine requirements, making available appointment options. The Wellness Coordinator will monitor the population of employees within the Organization. A core objective of this position will be to facilitate wellness and wholeness programs that educate and influence employees at the worksite to commit to and lead healthy lifestyles. Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERALBES:
Collaborate with management team of the development of Employee wellness program.- Develop and initiate an organizational wide employee wellness program. This includes, development, monitoring progress and reporting progress to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with the management team the formation and facilitation of a wellness committee if one, is needed and established and include different levels of employer leadership and employees from the worksite.
- Conduct ongoing meeting and collaboration with the wellness committee.
- Review the proposed health promotion strategies with the wellness committee, for health and wellness as appropriate.
- Development and delivery of promotional campaigns. Design and deployment of newsletters, posters, email, reminders, contests etc.
- Development and deployment of health awareness seminars, workshops, wellness groups, education topics, exercise and physical activity groups, Speakers,
- Development of wellness campaigns that focus on behavior change and health improvement.
- Our SAC Health team members have the ability to consistently work with rotating doctors, residents and interns and have the ability to collaborate, teach, support, and function in a teaching organization.
- Must be reliable and be an employee advocate in regards to health and wellness.
- Responsible for tracking all employee vaccines, setting up processes and policies. (ie Flu, yearly TB, ect.)
- Responsible for teaching/leading class sessions.
- Other tasks, as assigned by Executive Director of Behavioral Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in health education or education preferred. 2-4 years of
- Experience in the health and wellness field in lieu of education.
- Licensure/Certification: BLS, CPR, Food handlers Card.
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in health and wellness related field
- Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Highly skilled at making presentations, must be able to develop tracking and monitoring mechanisms (i.e. Excel, Word, PP). Use of the computer, and other technical machinery.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally.
- Self-starter; able to work independently to get results. Must be able to overcome set-backs and be understanding of other’s preferences and adapt approaches accordingly.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visas.
