Employee Wellness Coordinator, Human Resources Job at Northwest Missouri State University

PRIMARY DUTY: The Employee Wellness Coordinator leads programming to enhance employee well-being and wellness in alignment with organizational strategic objectives. This role is responsible for research, development, promotion, implementation and management of wellness initiatives, programs, and events that spans all aspects of the well-being program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform prevention based programming
  • Facilitate training
  • Conduct 1:1 employee meetings and provide referrals and recommendations based on assessed needs
  • Serve as a facilitator for the Benefits and Wellness Committee and manage wellness budget
  • Assist with planning and implementation of the comprehensive wellbeing plan for Northwest
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to identify cost-effective wellness programs and incentives
  • Assist with employee engagement survey
  • Engage leaders and employees in health promotion activities that increase awareness of critical health topics and promote overall health & well-being
  • Create strategic messaging related to wellbeing plan and initiatives. This may include developing marketing content for distribution to employees.
  • Others duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education with experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Certification/License: None required
Experience: 1-year experience in a related program or field
Skills: Communication and interpersonal skills necessary. Ability to organize and coordinate efforts to accomplish wellbeing objectives.
