Job Description:
Develops creative strategies to source the highest quality candidates. Evaluates candidate’s skills, qualifications, attitude and recommends them to Leadership for hire. Ensures the highest level of customer service through the recruitment and onboarding process, continually looking for improvement approaches to the process. Essential Functions • Reviews and pre-screens applications and resumes for qualified candidates. • Interviews applicants to determine if they possess the core competencies required by the organization. • Determines recruiting sources that are most effective in producing qualified applicants and uses sources to develop or increase applicant flow. • Represents the organization at job fairs and evaluates the organization's participation in external events for an appropriate cost/benefit ratio. • Reviews incoming requisitions for appropriate approvals and specifications. Works with hiring managers to develop detailed job specifications and competencies. • Maintains websites for job posting and evaluates applicant flow from sites. • Coordinates offers with hiring managers and extends offers to selected candidates. • Ensures that background investigations are completed on applicants prior to start date. • Maintains ongoing communication with hiring managers to determine departmental staffing needs as soon as possible. Communication
2 years Recruiting, interviewing or human resources experience preferred
Competency based selection process experience preferred
Exposure to employee relations functions, including labor and civil rights law preferred
Education Requirements
Bachelors Management, Psychology, Liberal Arts, Organizational Development, or Education preferred
Additional Details:
3 years experience in lieu of the Bachelors degree

- Ability to accurately assess the sub-text in written and verbal communications from applicants and employees.
- Working knowledge of competency based, behavioral interviewing techniques.
- Proficient in use of a Windows OS computer and MS office suite including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to verbally communicate candidate strengths and developmental needs to hiring managers.
- Concisely communicate and relate to all levels of the organization, customers and outside agencies.
