Job Summary

Our Validation Test Engineer plans, creates, and implements the validation process, specifically focused on technological components within electric vehicles; verifying that ONE’s equipment, design, and processes meet performance, quality, and industry specific safety standards. The candidate should be familiar with various validation systems and components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates detailed reliability / validation test plans (DVP&R) based on specifications and requirements. Requires detailed understanding of specifications and interpretation of complex technical documents. Understanding and interpretation will be supported by direct interaction, communication, and input from internal and external customers.
  • Hands-on coordination with laboratories to ensure smooth and flawless test execution, test report documentation, scheduling, setup, and troubleshooting of issues.
  • Executes test activities as required and assist with measurement systems analysis for routine testing procedures.
  • Reviews new and updated specifications, identify challenges, and develop implementation plans to execute validation test activities.
  • Provides feedback on means to improve test plans, sample preparation and testing procedures.
  • Summarizes and review test results with team. Communicate abnormalities or inconsistencies within test results.
  • Provides technical support to internal and external customers, suppliers, and team(s).
  • Performs any additional duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Related Field
  • 3+ years of Validation or Reliability Laboratory Testing Experience
  • 3+ developing DVP&R’s and / or Test Plans
  • Proficient in creating Test Plans and DVP&R for Validation / Reliability Laboratory Testing.
  • High proficiency using analytical tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and other applications as required.
  • Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections.
  • Experience using Test Plan development & management tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a team.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time 40 hours and generally scheduled Monday through Friday 9am-6pm EST
  • Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure Company’s client and business needs are met
