Responsibilities:
Major Responsibilities:
Works with Engineering and Production personnel to investigate, develop and implement improved methods and processes for manufacturing.

Essential Functions:
  • Assists in trouble-shooting machining issues.
  • Supports manufacturing needs with equipment tooling, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Assists with product and process development.
  • Uses best manufacturing practices to develop and document standards for reduction of set-up times.
  • Provides technical assistance to other departments.
  • Hosts and/or participates in team-based problem-solving activities.
  • Perform qualification tests with instructions given on jobs, such as first article inspection, pilot run inspection, and material tests.
  • Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.
  • Ability to document yield and job rates on parts transitioning from pilot to production.
  • Offer training on pilot job operations to operators for production.
  • Assist with the transition from pilot to production.
  • Assist engineers to troubleshoot product yield problems.
  • Possess good organizational skills.
  • Possess good communication skills verbal and written.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Competent in meeting deadlines and schedules.
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and with Morgan Fairfield, NJ EHS Guidelines. Guidelines include but not limited to participation in required EHS training and use of proper PPE. Employees are responsible for reporting hazardous conditions and job-related injuries or illnesses to their supervisor.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office products or equivalents.
  • This position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
  • Individual must be a:
    • Citizen of the United States, or
    • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
    • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to carry out written, oral, or diagram form instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
