We are looking for an Engineering Technician – Gas Analysis to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Director, Development Engineering and based in Mountain View, CA.

Role and Responsibilities:

· As a part of engineering product development team, the individual is expected to perform routine gas analysis of different process streams in Bloom's hotbox.

· The successful candidate will work to calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analyzer systems, gather necessary data and generate reports under the guidance of other engineers.

· Position requires use of analytical instruments (gas chromatograph, NDIR gas analyzers etc.) and ability to use small hand and power tools, preferably in a light industrial setting. Previous experience with p.c. based testing equipment is a plus.

· Candidate will often be standing and will need to regularly walk, bend, twist, reach and perform repetitive motions. Be willing to work outside in an inclement weather

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds and handle compressed gas cylinders safely

· High school degree required; Associate degree or higher is a plus; prior experience with analytical instruments is strongly desired

· This position will be based out of our Mountain View facility, but is expected to travel to other facilities, if necessary

· Able to follow both written and verbal instructions.

· Work closely with the engineering team and follow the guidance; report any abnormal conditions immediately

· Be willing to operate independently

· Excellent hand and eye coordination.

· Willingness to maintain a clean and orderly work area.

· Flexibility with changing shift or work schedule.

· Effective communicator/team player.

· Must be able to pass background check.

· Must be fully vaccinated within two weeks of starting employment at Bloom Energy.
