Salary Grade: NC07 Salary Range: $34,084.00 - $59,646.00
This position is for the Engineering Technician I for the Whittier Construction Office. This position supports higher level Technicians and Engineers in the Whittier Construction Office performing technical duties in areas such as construction, material testing, design, survey, and/or program/regulatory compliance. Work functions may include inspection for compliance and/or code; collection and analysis of field data; testing of materials; review, modification and/or design of plans; analysis of engineering related data, products, and/or functions. Perform related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
Qualified applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following:
- Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
- Experience maintaining standard daily records and reports.
- Knowledge of standards and specifications and plan reading experience
- Knowledge and skill in the use of computer equipment, iPad and software
- Knowledge and understanding of general concepts, practices, and theories used in construction, construction inspection, and/or construction surveying.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Associate s degree in an applicable area of Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or a related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
