POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Instructor will be responsible for teaching English courses during the day (face-to-face) and/or online. Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner. Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance. Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour. Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment. Grades and returns student work in a timely manner. Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course. Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course. Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction. Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in the teaching discipline and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Community College teaching experience and delivering instruction using Moodle (Learning Management System) are preferred.

SKILLS:
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.

Part-Time Faculty Hourly Rate - Based on master’s degree - $ 33.47/hour
