About English Outdoors:
English Outdoors is seeking ESL teachers to teach at our 2023 NYC Summer Junior Camp on short term contracts of 2, 3 or 4 weeks between July 10th - August 5th. English Outdoors (formerly Brooklyn School of Languages) has been established as a certified and nationally accredited ESL school for 10 years.

Our students, who are all primarily from Western Europe, are aged between 13 & 18 years old (average age: 16-17 years old) with language levels ranging from pre-intermediate (B1) to advanced (C1). We do not accept beginner-level students. Our classes take place in various indoor/outdoor locations around the city (Manhattan & Brooklyn). At English Outdoors, the city is your classroom! Our program is designed to immerse students in NYC life and culture, giving students the unique opportunity to practice their English in authentic NYC settings.

Classroom locations have been carefully chosen based on comfort, space, ease of access, etc. Classes are divided up by level with a maximum of 8 students per class. Teaching Details:
Program Dates: July 10 - August 5, 2023 (2-4 week contracts available)

Teaching Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9.30am-12.45pm [15 hours per week]

Hours: 18 hours per week. You teach for 15 hours, but we pay you for 18 hours (the extra hours are for you to complete your weekly teacher paperwork - timesheets, coursework records etc. to submit to our Academic Manager)

Pay: $25 per hour. $450 per week. Weekly Subway pass also provided. Paid training workshop in mid-June.

Some previous teaching experience and/or a teaching qualification is preferred but is not essential. Pre-program teacher training as well as ongoing support will be provided. Teachers will be given a course book and curriculum to follow each week.
