Technical Environmental Services is seeking candidates for an hourly position to supplement our environmental team at a chemical plant site in Geismar, LA. The function of the Environmental Technician is to perform duties related to the following:

• CEMS audit and stack testing coordination;
• LDAR program support;
• Daily compliance report review;
• LPDES Permit sample collection;
• Waste management support; and,
• Weekly, monthly, and quarterly environmental inspections.

This position would also be expected to provide environmental support during the planned turnaround/shutdown. Tasks during the turnaround would include:

• Small scale cleanup of spilled material;
• Daily inspections;
• Waste coordination; and,
• Periodic audits.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-5 years of experience conducting the above environmental audits and inspections (preferred);
• Associate degree (preferred but not required);
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills (required);
• Trustworthy and dependable (required);
• Reliable transportation (required); and,
• Ability to lift 50 lb. containers (required).

• Work schedule: 4-10s.
• Expected pay rate: $20-35/hour.

• Overtime will be required.
