THE POSITION
The Account Executive for TOPAZ plays a critical role in the success of the company as we continue to expand our client base. This position will conduct all sales activity in acquiring new business and leads, interfacing as needed with Marketing, Professional Services, and Client Services teams. This role will report to the Business Development Manager for TOPAZ.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the sales process for TOPAZ products and services, from sales qualification through to final sale, utilizing sales best practices and leveraging the expertise and relationships of TOPAZ.
- Establish and meets quarterly sales bookings quota.
- Manage deadlines, set priorities, and execute upon stated deliverables and timelines.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and commit to quarterly bookings targets.
- Interface with TOPAZ leadership team and marketing resources to identify, package, and deliver compelling content to the marketplace to nurture influencers and drive leads for TOPAZ products and services.
- Proactive pursuit of ongoing sales leads.
- Understand and be able to articulate value propositions of TOPAZ products and services.
- Attend sales meetings as an active participant.
- Work with Marketing to generate new leads.
- Keep up-to-date and accurate records utilizing Salesforce.com, reporting frequently to leadership on MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and bookings numbers.
- Gather client feedback and communicate/collaborate with Product Owner to ensure the product roadmap accurately reflects clients’ business vision.
- Other duties as may be required on occasion.
Skills Required:
- Strong relationship building abilities in establishing and fostering long-term key client relationships.
- Experience selling enterprise-level software to the public sector including budget cycles and RFP process.
- Experience in biomedical research industry and related processes preferred.
- Outstanding communication including verbal, written, presentation, and active listening skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to track and report on various activities.
- Disciplined professional who sets and maintains a high standard with excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a larger team.
- Results oriented, positive outlook
- Proven ability to work remotely.
Experience:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in solution selling to the biomedical research and/or public sector.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, biosciences, or other related discipline.
Travel:
Occasional travel is required for this position, up to 10% travel to industry events, company meetings, and client locations.
