POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is currently seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to join our team of practice management professionals in the Eastern Idaho area. This teammate will be part of Radiology Partners’ national Credentialing, Licensing, and Privileging team, but will work primarily with Medical Imaging Associates of Idaho Falls, a 30-physician practice serving many hospital and outpatient imaging clients. This position will be responsible for obtaining and sustaining hospital privileges, state licenses, DEA certificates, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for the MIA physicians. They will partner with the national CL&P teams on physician onboarding, Joint Commission (TJC) delegated credentialing, and payor enrollment. They will also participate in national activities as directed by the national team.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform verification of provider education, training, experience, and certifications
  • Complete initial provider enrollment and re-credentialing applications with contracted hospitals
  • Review all applications to ensure accuracy prior to submission
  • Monitor provider application statuses; conduct follow-up and problem resolution as needed
  • Coordinate with practice leadership, hospitals, and providers to complete credentialing process, including any additional documentation, information, or applications
  • Communicate and build relationships with contracted facilities for credentialing needs
  • Notify facilities of changes to practice providers and credentialing related matters
  • Obtain and maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers
  • Track license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals
  • Maintain information on any physician claims for new enrollments or re-appointment applications; send required letters to ID, WY, and MT state boards to notify of any settlements
  • Maintain physician files; review and update doctor CVs annually
  • Enter physician CMEs and modality reads into database, perform audits and notify physicians of deficiencies in order to maintain compliance with ACR accreditation
  • Worth with RP MedMal to provide malpractice insurance for credentialing needs
  • Maintain accuracy of provider data in credentialing databases and systems
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of credentialing files and databases
  • Facilitate internal and external record audits as needed
  • Oversee 3rd party credentialling service provided to critical access hospitals; assure service provided fulfills needs and expectations
  • Keep management informed of progress and escalate issues as needed
  • Uphold all credentialing and practice specific policies and procedures
  • Fulfill other duties as deemed necessary

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of healthcare credentialing experience preferred
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, anticipate possible problems, manage multiple priorities, and organize details efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos, and emails
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to perform research and provide recommendations as needed
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, and hospital contacts
  • Knowledge and understanding of the credentialing process
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, email encryption, and other software
