POSITION SUMMARY:
Deep Mile has an opening for a Communications Writer (Entry Level/Junior) to join our team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide strategic communications strategy related to MHS GENESIS.
- The Internal Communications Writer will have creative, yet professional demeanor and will be a digitally savvy internal communicator ready to use industry best practices to help shape associate communications
- Provide senior level consulting directly to the Military Health System (MHS) Functional Champion leadership for all tasks and for all internal and external presentations, testimony, speeches, and other stakeholder engagements.
- Assess communications needs and make recommendations for messaging, products, audiences, and scheduling of information-sharing.
- Lead the development and dissemination of a wide range of communications materials including, but not limited to: communications strategies, stakeholder programming event promotions, senior leadership updates, MHS GENESIS system impacts, etc.
- Coordinate across the Defense Health Agency Health Informatics (DHA-HI) division to promote awareness of upcoming activities, system impacts, and available resources.
- Maintain up-to-date distribution lists to promote effective dissemination of communications across the MHS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in Strategic Communication and Planning, Requirements Analysis, and Project Management.
- Experience in implementing major Health IT systems; working with senior business stakeholders and business process owners; Military Treatment Facility (MTF) management; and clinical workflows comprehension.
- Familiarity with another Military Health Systems (MHS) information systems
- Experience with strategic planning and communication efforts at the executive level of an organization.
- Requires access to networks, systems, and services - must have an active secret security clearance at the time of access.
US Citizenship Required.
Candidate will need to obtain a DoD Public Trust Clearance.
