Position Summary

Protect company assets through the execution of safety initiatives, inventory recovery and internal and external theft reduction programs. Identify, observe, and record (internal or external) persons involved in criminal or negligent activity impacting the warehouse and ultimately the company. Oversee reduction of lost inventory, time, and assets, monitor surveillance equipment and partner with Safety/Risk manager in the implementation and oversight of Safety/Risk initiatives. Essential Job Functions

• Enforce safe work practices and procedures with associates, drivers, and leadership
• Identify and prevent unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards
• Ensure new hires are orientated to Kroger Safety Standards, and all required documentation is completed accurately and timely
• Ensure safety boards with postings, including, but not limited to health and safety policy, inspection and audit results, location of first aid, etc. are maintained and current
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings to Safety/Risk manager and appropriate stakeholders
• Identify and resolve conditions/behaviors that affect shrink, safety and profitability by auditing for compliance and communicating Safety/Risk awareness
• Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of Safety/Risk strategies at site and/or spoke level
• Test functionality of warehouse Safety/Risk equipment (CCTV, DVRs, Computers, Door Seals, etc.)
• Oversee surveillance to detect internal and external loss
• Oversee physical security checks; make recommendations to prevent loss and improve profitability
• Oversee and complete thorough reports on all Safety/Risk related activities
• Serve as a district and division lead to identify and develop solutions to reduce waste
• Support the Safety/Risk manager in execution of Safety/Risk initiatives
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures, when carrying out responsibilities
• Maintain ability to work weekends when needed
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Any experience in Safety/Risk and/or Safety
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity, honesty and professionalism
• Proven leadership Skills
• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations
• Basic to moderate computer skills

Desired Previous Experience/Education

• Bachelor's Degree
• Wicklander Certification
• Operational knowledge of CCTV systems
• Operational knowledge of pallet and slot auditing at warehouse level

Education Level: Bachelor's Desired
