Environmental Planner II Job at Parametrix, Inc.
Parametrix, a leading engineering, planning, environmental sciences, and construction management firm, is seeking an ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER II to join our Transportation team in Salt Lake City Utah. Our Environmental team works for a variety of clients, including UDOT, UTA, MPO’s, and other state and federal agencies.
This position will have flexibility to work remotely but will require time in the office for mentorship and project and client collaboration.
WHO YOU ARE:
Experienced: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Transportation Planning, Natural Science, or similar. 3+ years of environmental/transportation/land use experience, with consulting experience preferred.
Talented: You excel at providing environmental planning services while partnering with engineers, resource specialists, biologists, and senior planners. Job responsibilities include conducting and/or supporting NEPA analyses, assisting project coordination of EISs and EAs, Categorical Exclusions, and preparing related environmental documentation, assisting with environmental permitting efforts, and developing documentation for a variety of environmental studies. Experience with ArcGIS is desirable but not essential.
Relationship-focused: Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, team player and you thrive on developing rapport with others to maintain quality delivery.
Passionate about writing: This position will require considerable time focused on writing and analysis. The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable with working in a team environment on large, complex projects. You must enjoy writing and have progressive writing experience on previous environmental projects.
Hard Working: You care deeply about delivering for your clients and your diligent, quality work reflects this. The environmental team works hard and is looking for someone to support them as they effectively deliver important local and regional projects.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $70,000-$90,000. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program.
