ERP Platform Architect is a senior-level technical role within Cascade’s internationally operating Information Technology group. The ERP Platform Architect actively drives Cascade’s digital transformation by architecting, building and deploying a capable, reliable and secure Enterprise Resource Planning platform, including related up - and downstream systems that focus on improved full life cycle ERP operations to support material - and financial flows, enable innovative supply chain – manufacturing -, sales - and financial operations and integrate seamlessly with other domains (e.g. BI, CRM, MES, PLM).
With focus on phases (Plan, Build) this role supports the entire solution life cycle from initiation, planning, architecting and design, build and provision, early adoption, full deployment to run and improve as it relates to various business domains (Design to Deploy, Plan to Make, Lead to Cash, Deliver to Experience, Financial Management etc.).
The ERP Platform Architect works with business leaders on various levels (Executives, Domain Managers, Regional Leaders), as well as the key - and end user communities, other internal I.T. departments (architects and regional support), and finally a variety of external I.T. partners and service providers. Solution delivery is anticipated via project-driven fusion teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Participate in definition and implementation of the Enterprise Application strategy in alignment with the overall IT and Business strategy, including roadmap and release management, and related project portfolio planning, as well as continuously check effectiveness and propose improvements
2. Work with business stakeholders to define business cases, identify potential system prospects (including definition of selection criteria), select best-fit-solutions and setup solid implementation plans
3. Be an advisor that consults Cascade on multiples levels (Executive, Management, End User, Technical) about opportunities and risks with various ERP system approaches
4. Define design patterns, governance and standards and document Cascade’s ERP system roadmap
5. Ensure technical interoperability and data flows with neighboring IT domains (e.g. CRM, MES, PLM, EPM, BI, Digital Workplace)
6. Enable support organizations (e.g. regional IT Shared Service Centers, key users) in achieving operational excellence and positive business outcomes by providing training and education
7. Support run business with troubleshooting of uncommon problems, root cause analysis and provision of long-term fixes
8. Leading functional and technical project teams (internal and external staff) that continually implement, innovate and evolve Cascade’s enterprise application platforms related to enterprise resource planning, supply chain management and financial operations
9. Provide functional - and technical specifications for support ERP resources that are involved in build phases
10. Leverage Oracle’s educational - and knowledge framework to acquire new skills
11. Collaborate with project managers in planning and execution of digital initiatives
12. Participate in Cascade’s Solution Architecture Council to facilitate governance, design and operating decisions for key business models and related ERP system architecture
13. Support management’s budget - and support financial planning efforts of international locations related to enterprise applications
14. Participate in business-wide meetings to represent ERP topics
15. Manage Cascade’s application life cycle, including new implementations, enhancements, upgrades and retirements
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, master’s degree/MBA preferred
· A minimum of eight years’ experience in OTS ERP Applications field with increasing responsibilities in technical functions (production support, system analysis, system design and build)
· Creative problem solving and excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
· Experience with any of the following JD Edwards components: UX One, Orchestrator, E1 Pages, OneView, Watchlist, Table- and Business View design, Reporting, Business Services (BSSV), Batch Jobs
· Hands on experience with JD Edwards 9.x, ideally in a global environment
