Estimator

Intertek PSI, is searching for an Estimator to join our Building & Construction team in our Dallas, Texas office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

The estimator is responsible for collect and analyze data in order to assess the time , money materials, and labor required for construction material testing and observation.

What you’ll do:

• Meet with w ith client to discuss scope and scale of the project
• Consulting with industry experts to discuss cast estimates.
• identifying and quantifying all cost factors involved in the project
• using computer software to calculate cost estimates
• reviewing expenditure statements during all phase of the project and prepare change order if required.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

• B achelor's Degree in civil engineering, construction management or similar field is required;
• 5 years' experience as a cost estimator in the construction materials testing industry is required
• Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering processes;
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Proficient with computer estimation software;
• Good project management skills;
• Ability to travel.
