Estimator / Project Manager Job at PL Masonry Inc.

- Minimum of 3-5 years as construction project manager (prefer experience in masonry construction)
- Minimum of 3-5 years as construction estimator (prefer experience in masonry construction)
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Proficient in reading plans, take-offs, starting and managing projects
- Oversee multiple large residential and commercial projects
- Review plan updates, change orders
- Coordinate materials, scheduling, submittals, and budgets
- Must have knowledge of project scheduling and scope of work
- Highly organize and effective communication skills
- Must be able to identify and solve complex issues
- Lifting heavy objects
- Mixing and working with concrete
- Installing brick (full and thin) and stone veneer (natural and artificial)
- Building block (CMU) walls
- Working with rebar
- Digging
- Installing Proto II Wall Systems
- Cutting materials with diamond blades
- Ability to read plans and site elevations.
- Using various hand and power/mechanical tools and equipment such as saws, rebar bender/cutter, concrete pumps, skid steers, etc.
- Responsible for following all company, state/local, and OSHA safety regulations
- Ability to work outside in extreme conditions with temperatures in excess of 100 degree Fahrenheit
- Securely load equipment on to trucks and trailers for transport
- Safely load/unload materials from trailers and trucks.
- Work with others as a team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality projects on time and within budget
- Manage all phases of the project including site preparation, scheduling, design/layout, construction administration, coordinate internal and external resources including subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries.
- Lead team meetings and project communications such as RFI’s, submittals, change orders, safety documentation, punch lists, and other construction-related documents.
- Work closely with clients to ensure project success and exceed expectations
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years of experience managing construction projects, from site layout to project completion.
- Track record of consistently completing projects on time and within budget
- Skilled in doing accurate takeoffs
- Proficient in estimating, pricing, project reports and billing, design review, proposals, and project coordinating.
- Must be effective at communicating project status/updates with management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and estimating software preferred.
- Spanish strongly preferred
Pay: DOE - Depending On Experience

CA Work Locations: Including but not limited to Inland Empire, San Diego, High and Low Desert, Beach Cities, Orange County, LA County.
AZ Work Locations: Phoenix Metro areas including but not limited to Phoenix, Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Fountain Hills, Glendale, Peoria, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Marana, Maricopa, Florence, and Casa Grande

- Occasionally inventory assets for accounting records
