Primary Function:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of metal-working machines to shape metal parts or products by removing excess material by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Analyzes work orders to determine production schedules.

· Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.

· Inspects and measures metal products to verify conformance to company standards.

· Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.

· Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders.

· Lays out designs on stock to guide workers in machining operations.

· Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

· Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

· Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

· Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

· Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

· Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

· Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

· Maintains time and production records.

· Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

· Sets up machines and equipment.

· Performs activities of workers supervised.

Shift Times: 5:00 pm-3:30 am.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to stand, occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Long hours are often scheduled. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
