Job Summary:
We are actively looking for a sales enthusiast who is engaging, proactive, and thrives on the sales pursuit. The Event Sales Director is responsible for generating event revenue and selling all aspects of events held within the Club, including corporate events, golf tournaments, social functions, weddings, and other market segments. The Director will heavily focus on implementing and executing various outbound sales strategies/techniques to achieve revenue targets.
Day to Day:
- Accountable for achieving the Clubs' event sales plans, goals, and objectives
- Responsible for daily sales activity metrics, including outbound sales calls, networking, site tours, lead generation, outreaches, etc.
- Create and execute quarterly game plans, which are the definitive sales and marketing plans, including targeting local accounts, organizations, and large corporations to negotiate and secure event commitments; networking within the Clubs, communities, and professional organizations to develop referrals and prospects
- Work with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director to establish profitable and competitive event menus that meet clients' needs
- Track all leads and utilize the CRM system to manage customers and accounts
- Effectively communicate to all Club departments and clients to ensure events are flawless
- Partners with the Membership Department to promote additional private event business opportunities and prospective members
- Responsible for ensuring the maximization of revenue through yield management and pricing strategies
The ideal candidate has proven experience in sales, managing a client base, and a passion for the event/hospitality industry. We are looking for a sales Rockstar who is proactive and creative in lead generation, well-connected in the Houston/Kingwood market, savvy in marketing strategies and social media, and enthusiastic about networking and engaging with new people. Prior multi-unit event/venue sales experience is a big plus.
About you:
- Heavy outbound sales experience with a proven track record of sales performance and negotiation (preferably 3 - 5 years of experience)
- Experience developing lists of potential clients through various prospecting methods, lead generation, networking, etc.
- Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and Banquet Event Order software experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the Houston market with Catering/Event sales are preferred
- High-energy and outgoing personality
- Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills required
- Ability to foster relationships with Members, Employees, and other community leaders
- Creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 (comprised of base salary and commission), commensurate with experience
