The Environmental Services Technician maintains the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the facility. They do so by performing a range of cleaning tasks, room sanitizing, and waste disposal. We have a generous benefits package and a competitive employee referral program.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Completes floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) areas that include offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas such as dining rooms. Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment.
• Uses floor stripper to remove wax as needed and cleans, re-applies wax according to cleaning schedule.
• Completes safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions. Uses personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure. Labels all chemicals per SDS guidelines.
• Disposes of trash and other waste, including biohazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with policies and procedures. Collects all trash from rooms, offices, breakrooms, and restrooms daily.
• Responds promptly to calls for assistance with emergency clean up such as spills, water leaks, etc….
• Posts signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards.
• Cleans upholstered furniture as requested.
• Performs regular cleaning and sanitizing of chairs and wheelchairs.
• Performs cleaning tasks, when requested, to include vacuuming, dusting, mopping and restroom cleaning.
• Completes exterior rounds at request of Supervisor and addresses any trash collection needed.
• Maintains all cleaning supplies and equipment in good repair. Reports any concerns immediately to Supervisor.
• Sets up for special meetings and functions as requested.
• Reports all accidents/ incidents to Supervisor.
• Attends all staff meetings and in-services as required by Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
