EVS Team Leader (Housekeeping)- Oswego Hospital

The environmental service team leader, supervises and supports the shift's team of employees. Performs all environmental services-related tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees, facility staff, and customers. Evening Shift.

Opens shift assuring supplies, tools and necessary equipment are available (wash mops, keys, daily assignments, communication devices). Perform daily ongoing inspections through diversy and provide quality management reports. Ensure that all equipment is clean and in proper working condition. Serves as an acting contact person in the absence of the Manager, Coordinates activities with other departments ensuring meeting room set up and furniture moving is completed accurately and on time. Complete shift reports. Cover EVS (hands on) schedule in the absence of employees. Supports employees in cleaning task as needed. Be available to cover weekends and staff shortages as needed.

High school diploma or GED preferred. Excellent customer relations skills. Ability to work independently. Valid NYS Drivers License. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75 lbs. Must have the mechanical ability and technical knowledge required for operating powered equipment and the initiative to the most rigid care requirements. Some floor care related experience desirable, although duties may be learned through in-service training. Must know how to operate EVS equipment and products such as tools, cleaning chemicals, floor maintenance materials, and powered equipment. Must be familiar with standard procedures used during the execution of assigned duties and the cleaning of an isolation or biologically hazardous area. Minimum computer skills required.

One year supervisory experience preferred. Floor care and carpet care experience required.
