What You’ll Do: No two days are the same in this Executive Assistant role, providing fast-paced and diversified administrative support of a complex and confidential nature to the C-Suite Executives at FBL Financial Group Inc., while projecting a positive image of FBL to outside groups, organizations and Farm Bureau members. You will be responsible for: proactively managing detailed calendars and schedules, arranging corporate travel, coordinating meetings, events, materials and minutes. It’s important to be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities as an Executive Assistant; to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizing and scheduling meetings, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and use good judgment in responding to inquiries/requests directed to the Executives in a manner that appropriately reflects the priorities of the enterprise
- Liaison to all levels of management, and other staff to resolve problems and issues related to administrative and other matters as appropriate.
- Prepare Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects, and other documents in support of objectives for the organization.
- Engage in planning travel and accommodations for executives, including itineraries and agendas.
- Excellent communication and time management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent meeting planning/ facilitation skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment; performs additional duties as assigned by executives.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- College degree or equivalent plus two years relevant experience required.
- Proven ability to handle highly sensitive materials and of a highly confidential nature.
- Must have strong meeting planning/facilitation skills.
- Excellent organizational, composition, attention to detail and initiative skills required.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn multiple systems.
- Problem solving, teamwork and training skills preferred.
- Strong customer service, public relations and diplomacy skills are necessary.
- Limited travel required.
