We are a heavy highway construction company located in Lafayette, CO. seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel / Fleet Mechanic.

This position is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all fleet vehicles; including but not limited to; trucks, semis, trailers, heavy equipment, and other fleet vehicles.

Essential Duties:

• Repair and maintain fleet vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete repairs.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance.

• Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, PC, AC, power trains, engines, brakes, electrical, fuel and other automotive systems.

• The operation of vehicles and heavy equipment to perform road tests

• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to diagnose issues.

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles.

• Keep accurate and timely records of maintenance performed.

• Follow written and verbal instructions.

• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

• Driving to pick up parts, transport parts, etc. may be required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years related experience in a heavy-duty repair environment.

• Must have all hand tools and tool boxes required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as described above.

• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands required of the position.

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.

• Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.

CDL Class B license a plus!
