Who we are looking for:

Power Transformer Coil Winders:

· Basic Requirements

o High school diploma or equivalent

o Positive attitude

o Ability to communicate well

o Ability to use basic hand and power tools

o Ability to lift and move 70 pounds with assistance

o Must be able do basic math functions, add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals

o Must be able to use measurement tools such as micrometer calipers and tape measures

o Must be able to work overtime as necessary

o Excellent attendance

· Job Specific Requirements

o At least one (1) year’s direct experience winding power transformer coils with the ability to perform the following:

§ Ability to read and interpret coil winding drawings/specifications

§ Ability to set up winding machine with winding cylinder/insulation package

§ Ability to load spools of wire onto dereelers with assistance using an overhead crane

§ Ability to winding single and multiple wire disk windings (with and without shield wires)

§ Ability to in winding both single and double helical (screw) windings

§ Ability to braze/solder copper wire using the equivalent of an oxyacetylene torch and silver solder filler

§ Assist other winders with their windings as needed

Power Transformer Coil Winding Technicians:

· Same basic and job specific requirements as for the coil winder position plus:

o At least three years direct experience in winding power transformer coils

o Ability to assist and train less experienced winders
