Hitachi Energy is seeking a Fabricator for its Alamo, TN location to work within our Maintenance Department. This position will work with the Operational Excellence team to create a safe working environment.

Your responsibilities

• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
• Design and construct templates and fixtures, using the required tools.
• Proficient in Math and can accurately read measuring devices.
• Familiarity with schematic reading, electrical, pneumatics, and general building.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge in welding, (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW)
• Knowledge in braze welding.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small, and or heavy.

Your background

• Welding degree or related field and up to 2 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
