Fabricator/Carpenter Job at James Dawson Design

We are looking for team players to compliment our group of artists.
The perfect candidate would have experience working with metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, brass), concrete, and wood.
In this position you will:
- work with our small team to fabircate unique custom furniture pieces for clients
- build plywood forms for custom vent hoods
- polish and grind metals to achieve final decorative finish
- install furniture at residential and commercial projects across Houston
- read shop drawings and learn more about the fabrication process
We are currently looking for someone who is confident working with wood - precise measuring and experience with shop tools are important. Our shop is a good environment for learning as you go, so as long as you are a hard worker looking to hone your skills you will be a good fit.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Houston, TX 77003: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
