We are looking for a Fabricator / Skilled Assembler to join our team!


Primary responsibilities include performing custom assembly, soldering, brazing and manual machining tasks. This position fabricates moderate to complex assembles utilizing procedures and blue prints under minimal guidance.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs manual lathe and mill operations following manufacturing procedures and blueprints.
  • Assembles sub-assemblies and finished units. Ensures that quality standards are met.
  • Able to braze, solder or weld according to directives given by manufacturing documentation.
  • Able to complete manufacturing work order documentation.
  • Cross trains and maintains certification across all operations within a work area.
  • Works effectively with other team members to ensure that quality and delivery expectations are met.
  • Follows policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Maintains clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in soldering pipe and tubing
  • Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
  • Proven ability to understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
  • Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
  • Ability to visually and mentally concentrate for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds without assistance; sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Proven ability to use power and hand tools, and custom tooling.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.

Education and experience required:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience performing work in a technical/mechanical environment
  • Experience operating lathe and milling machines
