    Primary Purpose:
    Responsible for facilitating all aspects of assigned CTE programs in the district and ensuring they are maximizing T-2-4 outcomes for students, including: Teacher support and professional development, program vertical alignment, curriculum, business and industry relationships, technology and equipment purchases, Career and Technical Student Organizations, student certifications, and program evaluations. Responsible for working with business and industry partners to design and develop CTE space types as well as developing student internships, practicums, job shadowing and other work-based opportunities in assigned CTE programs. Responsible for working with Planning and Construction for pre-planning and program implementation of multiple CTE Bond projects.

    Qualifications/Skills:
    Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor's degree in related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
    • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate (Career and Technical Education area) or Teaching Certificate from out of state appropriate for position preferred.
    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to make effective presentations.
    • Effective use of technology.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
    • Ability to lead and make decisions with limited supervision.
    • Ability to positively interact and work with community, business, district staff, teachers and students.
    Experience:
    • Three (3) years teaching experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE) preferred.
    • Leadership experience preferred.
    • Industry experience preferred.

    Major Duties and
    Responsibilities:
    Program Facilitation:
    • Facilitate all activities related to assigned CTE programs.
    • Facilitate meaningful and relevant CTE professional development opportunities for teachers.
    • Collaborate with CTE staff and faculty to improve, expand, and/or modernize CTE programs, including relevant technology, furniture, and equipment.
    • Design and present meaningful and relevant content to update various stakeholder groups.
    • Ensure curriculum is viable, meets industry standards and align to the facilities.
    • Identify industry-valued student certifications and ensure that all facilities are designed to meet the requirements of the program. Also ensure campus and administrative staff are equipped with necessary resources to prep and test students on certifications.
    • Work collaboratively with various departments and campuses to ensure that all CTE programs include the components of a high quality CTE program.
    • Participate in the evaluation of current CTE programs and spaces to ensure future implementation is seamless. Convene Business and Industry, Post-Secondary and Teacher round tables to gain pertinent stakeholder feedback.
    • Coordinate and manage renovation and new build projects with multiple timelines for completion. Attend scheduled meetings with district and campus staff, architects, engineers, and Project Advisory Team (PAT).
    • Coordinate and manage scope of work required for each project as well as monitoring FFE and project budgets.
    • Assist in the ordering of all industry standard FFE purchases.
    • Ensure that all FFE request are met and conduct walkthroughs to evaluate each facility certifying that all recommendations of the CTE Ed Specs were made.
    Internship and Work-Based Learning Facilitation:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with business and industry partners.
    • Assist CTE programs throughout district establishing active, functional Advisory Boards.
    • Initiate, develop, and monitor internships, apprenticeships, practicums, job shadowing and other work-based opportunities for CTE students.
    Communication:
    • Communicate accurately, respectfully, and positively.
    • Build relationships with stakeholders; listen and be responsive to faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members.
    • Collaborate successfully with district and campus staff, business partners, college partners and CTE advisory boards.
    • Demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of work.
    Other:
    • Assist the CTE Director with district CTE activities.
    • Be willing and able to travel to various job sites inside and outside the district.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
