MISSION STATEMENT:
Liberty Ministries exists to serve offenders in prison and ex-offenders in the community by showing God’s love, providing practical assistance, and supporting Biblical standards of justice.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities Manager for Liberty Ministries is responsible for assessing and maintaining all thrift stores, offices, residential facilities and other properties for Liberty Ministries. The Facilities Manager needs to be a friendly smiling face that employees and customers interact with; he/she is an ambassador for the stores and the ministry.
PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS:
- Prioritize and schedule work order requests for all locations.
- Be the point person for each location’s management to contact when there is a maintenance emergency or need.
- Responsible for assessing maintenance needs at all locations from short term to long term needs. Quarterly walkthroughs of all locations identifying specific maintenance needs.
- Schedule and assign maintenance/repair tasks to Facilities Associate on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for maintaining a list of vendor contacts for each location in case of an emergency. List must be shared with all division directors and updated as needed.
- Build relationships with key vendors and service providers for each location, being the point of contact, understanding and negotiating terms and being transparent regarding financial relationships with vendors.
- Manage snow and lawn maintenance contracts for all properties.
- Maintain a facilities calendar on the company calendar software.
- Draft accurate and timely maintenance reports as required.
- Responsible for all tools, supplies and machinery needed to complete maintenance projects.
- Receive and address any outstanding issues from monthly safety reports from all locations.
- Take on special projects as needed.
- Reliable transportation to all work sites, being able to transport all supplies using personal vehicle. Based out of the Schwenksville location, but mostly a remote position.
- Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices & ensure standards are maintained.
- Accountable for all spending done with the Liberty Ministries credit card. Expenses exceeding $500 must be approved by the Director of Operations & HR prior to purchase.
- Other assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ related experience. Some management experience is preferred as well.
- Computer and cell phone proficiency for scheduling, communicating and reporting.
- Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to do repairs, construct and provide general maintenance.
- Basic knowledge in plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.
- Knowledge of compliance to relevant local, state and federal regulatory and safety laws.
- Excellent customer service skills i.e. ability to communicate positively and consistently with the customer, co-workers and supervisor; delivering professional consistent results.
- Must have excellent problem solving abilities.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be friendly, personable and customer service focused with good discernment on proper customer interaction.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, push, pull, and lift to 30-50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.
- Must be dependable and flexible.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, including reading, writing and counting.
- Must be supportive of working for a Christian Ministry, accepting the Mission Statements of Liberty Thrift and Liberty Ministries and represent Liberty Ministries well.
- Must be willing and able to function in many capacities as needed.
- Must take direction well and show initiative.
- Be neat in appearance and practice good hygiene.
Benefits: 403B matching up to 5%, medical, dental and vision insurance available, life insurance, 120 hours of PTO per year, 24 hours of sick time per year.
Reimbursements: $80 cell phone reimbursement (last pay of the month) and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, mainly Monday through Friday. Must have weekend and off-hours availability in case of emergencies or special projects.
