Job Description
The Facilities department strives to ensure a clean and safe environment that is inclusive and meets the needs of diverse populations on campus.
The Facilities Project Coordinator provides management, coordination, guidance and technical expertise to project teams and the facilities department at both colleges regarding implementation of projects including furniture purchases, analyzing and determining budgets, contracts, procurement, workflows, policies and procedures. This position will also coordinate, schedule, create agendas, record meeting minutes and participate in various committee meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Accounting skills sufficient to obtain competitive bids, compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
- Data entry skills sufficient to create requisitions and purchase orders.
- Database management skills sufficient to understand complex database software such as eBuilder Construction Software, to enter and retrieve data, create and run queries, review and analyze data, and identify problem areas.
- Ability to develop, make recommendations and implement new or revised administrative and program policies, procedures and workflows and budgets.
- Customer service skills sufficient to interact with executive level decision makers, establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, and to collaborate with customers throughout a project.
- Spreadsheet and word processing skills sufficient to create and modify a variety of documents to track projects and prepare reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management skills sufficient to manage multiple projects simultaneously, create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, oversee the cost, time and scope of projects, manage project constraints, and communicate progress end results.
- Previous experience providing executive level office support.
- Experience and/or ability to learn multiple computer software systems.
- Critical thinking skills sufficient to interpret information from multiple sources
- Commitment to working with and fostering an inclusive environment for individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Associates Degree
