We are pleased to announce the opening for a Facilities & Security Assistant (Junior) who will join our Information & Security Operations Division in our Colorado Springs, CO Office and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for providing the infrastructure key to operating our secure and fast-growing company.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

You’ll be functioning as the Colorado Springs office Facilities & Security Assistant:

• Performing custodial (vacuuming/moping, cleaning, emptying trash bins, recycling program, etc) duties for our Colorado Springs office
• Performing facility maintenance duties
• Escorting visitors and contractors
• Functioning as a Security Assistant to the local Facility Security Officer (FSO)
  • Performing lobby visitor control duties
  • Process incoming and outgoing visit authorization requests (VAR), Common Access Card, CAC, and other government badge requests
  • Assist employees with coordination and administration of classified meetings
  • Process incoming and outgoing classified transmittals and maintain document control accountability records in the accountability system of record
  • Ensures proper markings, safeguarding and transmission of all classified material
  • Assist the FSO in administration of the physical security program including:
    • Sustainment of perimeter and closed area alarms
    • Serve as a member of the security alarm response team
    • Key control for the facility
    • Enforcement of Perimeter and Closed Area End-of-Day Checks
  • Responsible for maintaining auditable records and security documentation in accordance with DCSA standards
• Other duties as assigned

Here’s what you’ll need:

We’re looking for someone with 0 – 3 years’ experience with degree, or 6 – 9 years’ experience without degree, full-time professional experience in areas such a facilities management / maintenance / operations, custodial, security guard, or industrial security. You must possess an active SECRET Security Clearance and the ability to maintain and active SECRET Security Clearance. Lacking any one of these disqualifies you from this job.

You also must have:

• 0 – 3 years’ experience with degree; 6 – 9 years’ experience without degree
• Ability to work independently, as well as the ability to work as part of the corporate team while working under the direction and oversight of the Facility Security Officer

• Ability to interact well with employees and customers at all levels

Other qualifications we hope you bring to the table:

• 
  Experience with custodial roles and responsibilities
• Facilities management experience
• Industrial Security experience (e.g. Escorting, Visit requests, document control, etc)
  • Experience with access control and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) for alarm monitoring and alarm response
