FACILITIES SUPERVISOR – BAY AREA

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you are a key member of our team responsible for quality repairs of veterinary hospitals in the Bay Area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance around the veterinary hospital facilities in the Bay Area
• Receive, evaluate and coordinate service maintenance service requests from veterinary hospitals
• Inspects facilities and equipment for extent of service needed
• Obtain bids from outside maintenance contractors. Assembles, analyzes and submits bids to the Director of Facilities for approval.
• Coordinates work performed by outside contractors and inspects completed works for conformance to specifications and standards
• Monitors all work orders to ensure accuracy, completion, timeliness, and client satisfaction
• Maintain the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
• Monitors schedules of preventive maintenance contractors
• Participates in after hours and emergency coverage as assigned supervisor
• As may be needed in emergency cases :
• Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Work on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs

• Apply preventive measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Ensures the safety of all operating equipment within the facility
• Develops and/or maintains a preventative maintenance schedule for all buildings and equipment

Job Requirement:

• Must be a team player and have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in the building maintenance
• Available Monday-Friday, with emergency response and willingness to be on-call
• Must have a valid CA Driver’s License with good driving records and clean background check
• Bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.

Skills and Knowledge Requirement:

• Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Building Repairs.
• Knowledge of power and hand tools used in facilities maintenance
• Recordkeeping techniques and regulations
• Use of computers for recordkeeping, email communications, and customer service practices.

Benefits:

• Salary range is $55,000 to $65,000 per annum depending on experience.
